How screen golf actually works
You hit a normal golf ball off a hitting mat into a large impact screen. Above you, an Uneekor optical launch monitor photographs the club and ball through impact and calculates ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, club path and face angle. GSPro takes those numbers and draws the shot flying onto a rendered course, which is projected on the same screen you just hit into.
Because the measurement is taken from the real ball rather than estimated from the swing, distances line up closely with what you would see outdoors. That is the difference between a game and a practice tool.
Private screen golf versus a shared screen golf room
Most screen golf venues put several bays in one hall with a service counter and shared audio. Bogey Bros runs a single bay that only your booking can open. For the hour, the door is locked behind you and there is no host, no bay next door and nobody queuing.
